How committees work
Business in more detail
Committees allow councillors to look at specific areas of Council business in more detail. Some matters may be decided by a committee where authority has been delegated by Full Council. Other matters are considered by the committee before a recommendation is made to Full Council.
Agendas & minutes
Published papers
Agendas are published in advance of each meeting. Minutes are published after the meeting and remain draft until they are approved.

Committee meetings are usually open to the public. Occasionally, part of a meeting may be held in private where the law allows. Agendas are published in advance and show the business to be considered.
