Short biography
Following her family’s move to Narberth in 2019, Hilary relocated from West Berkshire in 2022.
During her 34 years of living in West Berkshire, she served for 16 years on West Berkshire Council both as Ward Member for Chieveley and Executive Member, holding a wide range of Portfolios over this time. She was Vice-Chairman of West Berkshire Council in 2008. Hilary was also a member of Chieveley Parish Council for 22 years.
A strong believer in community service Hilary, has, since her teens, been involved in many community projects: in Sheffield where she grew up; the Midlands; Atherstone Arts Council and Town Councillor (North Warwickshire 1970’s), and West Berkshire; Chieveley Parish Council, Chairman of Chieveley Recreational Centre, Chairman of Chieveley Horticultural Society, governor and board member of Mary Hare School for the deaf, member of the Veolia Charitable Trust, Chairman of the West Berkshire Greener-sub partnership, member of the Berkshire Local Nature Partnership, member of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape Council of Partners.
In her business life Hilary held senior management roles in the recruitment and IT sectors.
